Second Honeymoon
's music defies easy categorization. We play great songs
our own way, and when we play them it seems that everyone within earshot -- us included -- ends up having loads of fun. The tunes range across many styles and emotions including country, rock-and-roll, bluegrass, folk, blues, and rockabilly. (Usually no rap, punk, hip-hop, heavy-metal, new age, classical, show tunes or sitcom theme songs -- but you never know what we might throw in on any given night.) Just like the three of us, the songs come from all over the map and reflect three lifetimes' worth of interests and influences.

Our tunes are laced with three-part harmonies, and our "electrified" acoustic six-string and bass guitars allow us to fill any size venue with a sound that is big, rich, and intimate.

Booking Second Honeymoon is a simple process. Just drop us an e-mail or give us a call (Jimi 843-860-9701; Barry 803-254-6766; Jeff 803-736-6270).

Demo CDs are available free upon e-mail request to booking agents and event coordinators.

Jimi Beauston is a life-long South Carolinian born, raised, and now once again living in Mt. Pleasant. He was a founding member of the popular Zassoff Boys and has played for audiences across the country and around the world. When not making music, he's wearing his "Real Estate Tycoon"cap.

Jeff Miller, a Columbia resident, played in a band in high school, sang in church and school choirs, and performed in college musicals. He quit performing while he raised a family and built a career, but about ten years ago he got the itch to play again and has never looked back. During the day he's Chief Operating Officer of Benefit Administrators, a management firm for corporate health insurance plans.

Barry Markovsky also lives in Columbia, SC. He played in rock bands in high school, was a folkie in college, and for many years prior to the formation of Second Honeymoon was content playing on his porch for family and a few close friends. On the side, he's a professor of sociology who conducts research and teaches at the University of South Carolina.
